This page contains 266 observed Writing & Growth communities inside Subshack's index of 1,867 public Substack groups. The category covers newsletter writing, audience growth, creator tools, and publishing craft. Metrics use a rolling seven-day window through Oct 22, 2026 UTC.

58 of 266 observed groups currently qualify for ranking, an activity rate of 22%. Here, activity rate means the share of observed groups with at least one complete UTC day confirmed by three independent Subshack installations during the seven-day window.

Ranked Writing & Growth groups recorded 154 aggregate messages in the current window. Their mean published reply rate is 15 replies per thread, calculated from the 58 ranked communities; it is a conversation signal, not a guarantee that any individual post will receive a response.

Each complete UTC day combines aggregate messages, active participants, replies, and help requests into a score from 0 to 100. A day counts only after three independent Subshack installations report it. The leaderboard uses the mean of qualified days in the latest seven-day window; raw messages and member identities are never stored in the public index.
